The Omega Chapter of La
Unidad Latina, Lambda Upsilon Lambda Fraternity Inc. was founded on
May 3rd, 1997 at 6:33AM. It was at this time that the three dedicated
Hermanos of the Alpha Line crossed over and became part of this
glorious organization. Lambda Upsilon Lambda Fraternity Inc. was the
first Latino Greek Letter Organization founded at the University of
Rochester. The Omega Chapter of La Unidad Latina was founded in order
to fill a void within the Rochester collegiate, and local
communities.
The Omega Chapter was chartered on April 16th, 1999 at 5:05AM. On this date the Beta Line of the Omega Chapter crossed, and three more dedicated Hermanos were added to the chapter. The addition of three new members brought the total to six Hermanos and expanded the Chapter to Nazareth College. The Chartering Hermanos of the Omega Chapter
Since it's founding, the Omega Chapter charter has grown to include the entire city of Rochester, N.Y. The Omega Chapter has crossed hermanos at the University of Rochester, Rochester Institute of Technology, Nazareth College, and St. John Fisher College. The Omega Chapter is officially recognized at both the University of Rochester and Rochester Institute of Technology. |
